Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at U.s. Army?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at U.s. Army?

The environment in any office is dependent on so many factors there is no way that anyone will have the same experience that you might. You will, most likely, wear the ACU or the ASU to work everyday. There is ALWAYS someone having a BBQ, game night or party. A typical day in the Army is not typical. It varies so vastly. The last 6 months before I signed out on leave were 0530 to 1900 Mon-Fri, 13.5hrs a day doing office/HR stuff. MOST places do accountability formation at 0630, PT from 0631 to 0730, hygiene from 0730 to 0900, work call from 0900 to 1700 with a lunch block of 1200 to 1300. Ft Campbell does PT from 0630 to 0800 then work starts at 0930 and their lunch is from 1130 to 1300 due to the ratio of service members to dining establishments. Mission dictates when you go home at the end of the day. There is no "we can finish this tomorrow".
