I have noticed that almost all of the comments are from former call center employees. How about some retail people posting opinions of US Cellular. It's pretty obvious that working at the call center is not a good experience. I have worked for both. Call center was not all that much fun, but retail has been ok. The biggest problem in the call center is you have about 50 managers(coaches) running around preaching DO 24/7. Retail in my experience is way more laid back. I also think that retail depends on your management, and I have a really cool manager. If you get a DO crazy manager in retail I'm sure it's just as bad as the call center. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. |

yes, I've heard both good and bad from retail, but not nearly as much bad, but then again, there are probably more call center employees, at least in areas where the call centers are located. It really does depend on who/how your supervisor is. Also, the retail stores are closed on at least some holidays. |

The retail stores are just as bad. I've been lucky the last few years. my sales manager was a good friend. I told him early on where he could stick all the DO BS. he just got fired, and told me I'm probably on the chopping block next. New ASM in town, needs to flex his muscles to show how tough he is. screw him too. |
