What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at U.s. Home Systems? What do you like best about working at U.s. Home Systems? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees? |

I am paid $10 an hour as an "In-Store Promoter," with a bonus of $15 for each "lead" I generate with a minimum of ten leads needed per month to collect a bonus of $150. I've only been working a few weeks, and it seems like at this point it might be almost impossible to actually meet the criteria to receive a bonus. Floor traffic seems a bit low at Home Depots and I'm told things might increase as of late May or June, but I am already feeling pressure to generate leads that may not be there. Also, there seems to be a definitive lack of structure in my area and after working nearly a month, I haven't actually been paid yet nor have I received any official badge stating who my employer is which negatively effects my promotion of the company and seems a bit unprofessional. In addition, it almost seems that I am competing against the actual HD employees working as Kitchen Designers who frequently tell perspective customers that "cabinet refacing isn't worth it" and they'd be better off purchasing new cabinets. So, in short, I'm not sure this is a good opportunity for the long run. |
