What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does URS stack up against the competition?

The company will survive but if you aren't "Billable" you won't last long with them. They will hire as long as they have projects but as soon as you have to charge time to an overhead account, you'll be out the door.

I do know that the Houston office is run by the New Orleans office, and in the Houston Market, they dont have the drive, or the mentality to survive with the slower LA state of mind...

Now the Houston office is in "layoff" mode...
when everyone else in town is very busy....
