Up until the time Bob Davis took over, this was the greatest company around. Then it was known that the dollar was all we wanted. My loyalty died quickly along with so many others. I saw so many valuable employees turned out with a wealth of experience because technology replaced them. Upper management didn't stop to think technology can't offer the personal touch USAA was known for. No I'm proud anymore, I've even bought my coverage from another company. |

I worked for USAA for a year. I started in an entry-level position in Policy Service. Sales was never my biggest virtue. However, I managed to become the #1 top referral employee in MST (department of more than 100 employees) for 6 consecutive months. My manager Lisa was very unethical and unfair. She talked down to our group and ridiculed us repetedly. After I felt that 'enough was enough,' I reported her to the Ethics Department. Of course, we were constantly told that it was confidential. Unfortunately, this was not the case. My manager began to look for ways to doubt my performance and I was fired. Of course, not being a native Texan, I was unaware that Texas is an 'at will' state. Obviously, there was not a living soul that could help me! Not only is this a horrible company to work for due to unfairness, it is also extremely difficult to move up because USAA is a firm believer in 'senority.' |

I worked for usaa for two months ..right up until the day they put us on the phones alongside out "coworkers"...the drones that had the brainwashed tone and the look of a dead fish in their eyes. All I saw at USAA in Tampa was a group of middle aged women that have worked there all their lives because their husbands made more money and could support the "call center hoby"/ If you have any pride and an origional thought.....dont work there..but take the job and mild the 8 weeks of training for 29k with a degree.

It's a boring call center job for an insurance company, what possible reasonable expectations could you have had that were trounced thoroughly in the course of a single day? |

They're paying $30k for kids with only highschool degrees. I'm disengaging all of my products from USAA. Since the type of people they're hiring now adays are below standard, I don't trust anything I have with that Company. |
