It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Uline?

Any advice on striking the right note?

For the Sales Rep/Territory position

I had faxed my resume and also emailed it.

Got a call from Katelyn, very young girl who was alittle nervous. She told me I would be interviewing with a John the next week by phone since I lived in another state. But first I needed to take a personality test online. It was easy but alittle strange. It's called Humanmetrics based on Carl Jung and Isabel Myers-Briggs typological approach to personality. After you take the test they assign you 4 letters that mean something about your personality. It's strange for one because they try to tell you based on the 4 letters what college you should go to. And they give you based on your 4 letters an in depth analysis about your personality. When people say that it is kinda like voodoo, they are right. It's a bit freaky their analysis.

John called. Older man who was very nice but really didn't impress me with his communication skills. He was also very laid back. He asked me
1 what are my strengths
2 did i ever do any cold calling
3 asked me about my last sales position
4. he didn't ask me any behavioral questions

He really did not ask me anything too difficult. 15 minute interview. I did well - a few days later got email saying that even though i had impressive credentials they were looking elsewhere. The job ad is still being posted 2 months later. And another ad for the same position but for different counties has also been posted for 2 or 3 months. You would think that they would of found someone by now.

If you want to know the questions the interviewers ask, Google "top interview questions." Every time I've done a phone interview, they go right down the list, verbatim.

Good luck. Their HR is f'd.
