Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at United American Insurance? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at United American Insurance? |

currently the home office moral is very low and long term employees are leaving the company. lots of changes are being made and HR/executives could care less about their employees. this company doesn't pay their employees what they are worth. a salaried employed can work at home depot and probably come out even. benefits aren't that great. customer service people are on welfare, while the executives make millions. this company is very chauvanistic and favors the male gender; very hard for females to get ahead at torchmark even with higher education. executives override HR...essentially, there is not an HR department. no formal training program for new employees--thrown to the wolves. typical day at torchmark: "I hate my job." females and anyone who is ambitious: stay clear, it will take you 30+ years to get there if ever. This is the good ole boy company, you must be 55, male, from the bible belt, and a member of a country club... |
