Do you work at University of Chicago Hospitals? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in? |

Hey Dude, just a suggestion for future reference - I wouldn't post the name of who you are working for now, and then say you are trying to get another job (let alone post your real name) Most employers frown on that. You never know who could be reading this? |

Hi, I am also an RMA who has been out of school for a year in Aug. and I've been trying to find a job with any and every company i see or know about, I have yet to be offer one. Now, I've been on interviews but its always the same thing, They're looking for someone with more experience. How are we going to get that experience if nobody takes a chance? Sorry but I dont know what to tell you sweetie, i plan to return to school for nursing. |

I know U of C does everything online. Maybe you could try temping throught another company then maybe a temp assignment would come up at U of C. Once the managers see how you work, maybe they will offer you a position. Even though Chicago is such a big city, it is really a small world- small medical community--where everyone knows everyone else. A lot of times the hiring manager will just ask someone already working in the hospital if he/she knows of anyone that can fill a position. Maybe you could even volunteer in the department or a nearby department so they will get to know you and you them--learn the hiring managers.
