The typical comp structure is base salary + yearly bonus + equity
The benefits are great! We have our healthcare 100% paid for the employee and unlimited PTO (not to be abused of course). The company is very family friendly with quite a few folks having kids under 5 yrs old, so you never get flack for taking off to tend to the family. We have areas to decompress and let off steam, like the game loft or the roof top terrace. We have a soda fountain, gas station grade coffee maker, and a full kitchen and stocked pantry. We do a team building or community event every month, which is great for meeting other folks in other departments. uShip is also really pet friendly, so we always have puppies (and a cat or two) to love on. Really casual dress, flexible work schedules for most, and just an overall "get stuff done" attitude that keeps the place humming.

What I love the most about working at uShip are the people. We tend to hire extremely self motivated and collaborative's what creates the culture. It's a results driven environment, so no micro managing at all, that just wouldn't fly here. Everyone from customer support, to marketing, to dev is simply brilliant. Everyone has that entrepreneurial spirit and runs their position like their own lots of accountability. That being said, when you hire people that push themselves you don't have to manage them, and that's beautiful. It also allows for all of the freedom and flexibility that we get. uShip has something very special going on and I hope we can continue to maintain this as we grow.
