I came across your ad and was wondering the same thing. I had applied also to the same ad looking for a job. I sent in my resume and received a email stating that I had the qualified for a job with their Co and that I would receive a call back in ten days from a rep. It is the 10th day. I am wondering if this is a real job or not. If anyone knows if it is please let me know. |

You know I did the same thing as you- I sent in my resume and was told the same thing and I'm still waiting and it's been close to 30 days. I'm starting to think that it's not real on top of that it seems as though now I'm getting spam mail.. so im not sure.. |

Thank you Zoie for emailing me, I called a few minutes ago to ask if it was a job working for them. A woman answered the phone and said it was a job placement service. I am so confused. Why do they tell you you can make up to $18.50 if their not giving you a job. I feel like a fool, I have told my family I might have a job with them. It sure looks that way when you read what they have to say about it. Like they will train you for the job. I wanted a job so bad at home it seems everyone out there just likes to scam people. People like us are the one's getting hurt. It's not fair. |

Trust me Scprestly, I feel your pain at this point I am at the end of my rope. I am just tired of getting scammed by at home jobs as well as temp. agencies. Let me know if you find a at home company to work for. |

Believe me, Zoie and Scprestly, you are not alone. A curse goes out to those people who deceive honest people like us, who continue to have hope. I recently applied to one of their "jobs", and nothing so far. In the meantime, I won't hold my breath--I'll just keep looking on.... |

I did the same fill out the info and never heard from them. I checked the yellow pages in our area and there is no listing for V.A.C.S in employment services or temp services. I would think thats a little suspious. So I am not giving any more info to them .Just going for a reguler employment service . |

Any site that has that has those little buttons about 'furthering your education', you should definitely do a search on. You will be contacted by some place, they have different names but are all the same, about going back to school. Either a text if you have a cell phone or a phone call. Why not email? You can delete it or it may go right into spam or junk folders. Better yet, just tell them you are already back in school and don't need there help. Thank them and hang up. Best guess is that they are recruiting for schools, and get paid a commission for the number of people that they sign up or at least get to call them. Didn't take me long to learn how to clean up my resume for online viewing. Might be good or bad but the only contact information I have on it is an email address. A disposable one at that. Protect as much of your personal information as you can. If you're applying for a job online, the company in question should only require your email address to get started on the interview process, if it is a legitimate company. |

I have filled out their application for a job, attaching resume 5 times, and within days I get a call from education link. Never hear from VACS, but education link calls me up everytime I apply. Even after I tell them I am going to school and not interested in any info on school. The application I always fill out requires a phone number, twice, for verication, or it doesn't go thru.

So glad to find your posts on V.A.C.S. I signed up months ago figuring it is just a temp ageny or placement agency so they never give you much info on their client. I really didn't pay much attention after that first time I signed up. But I continued to get job leads and on occasion I would decide to try and check them out. Each time I am prompted to get my credit check via them so that I can get the job .. the screen is so big that if I didn't scroll down I would not see that there is a NO THANKS button available. They make it look like it is required for the job. This time I was at a pretty low point and I received an email that looked hopeful.. good benefits and good money etc etc. I decided to check it out thinking that maybe the thing with the credit check was just a poor marketing decison on their part. Now I actually try to see if there is more informaton on the company and the screen comes up and says it has sent my resume. I didn't know there was a resume on there.. if there is it is out of date. As I look into the area to see a copy of the info that I set up in the beginning there is basically nothing but default options so who knows what or if it sent anything. All of the ads are for training/schools and most things that would be worthwhile that are listed are an UPGRADE $$$ Now I went into an area that said "featured companies" and when I clicked on a major one in my area it goes to a screen showing a list of all the states asking you to pick where you were looking for a job. I clicked on TX and saw listed opportunities to buy a franchise for snap on tools (the only listing with a name shown) after that it logged me out and at this point will not let me back in. I don't remember logging in .. guess when you get an email it goes right in. Time to set up the spam filter I guess. Good luck all .. hated to be jaded but this time I knew there was something stinkey. Shame on them all. |

V.A.C.S. is worthless and is only about pushing continuing education not jobs! Save yourself a lot of aggravation and skip them as a source for employment!! |
