I work for Valvoline Instant Oil Change-- corporate stores. They pay their employees well. Technicians make around 8.50+ an hour. Customer service representatives make around 9.50 per hour. Senior technicians (keyholders) make a little more than CSRs-- around 10.00-10.50 per hour I think? Assistant Managers make 12.00-14.00 per hour. Service Center Manager I can make 35,000-39,000 per year. Service Center Manager II make around 40,000+ per year and Area Managers make anywhere from 43,000-70,000 per year.
Service Center Managers and Area Managers have the potential to earn bonuses 2 to 3 times a year. If their stores are profitable, they can go on trips to Florida or elsewhere a couple times a year for four-five days. Benefits? Full time employees get a week's vacation after one year of employment. The longer you are with the company the more vacation you get ex: between 2-4 years you jump up to 80 hours vacation, after 4 years it goes to 120 hours and so on and so forth.
They offer a 401k plan matching I believe its 1.10 per every dollar you contribute up to 6%. They offer tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, flexispending accounts for childcare and medical, they have excellent medical, vision, and dental plans. (My dentist actually said wow!)They offer group discounted home and auto insurance. Every year employees are also given new shoes. Uniforms are laundered by an outside company. And they give us pizza for every month we go without any injuries. Contests are frequent amongst and within stores-- prizes vary from trophies, LCD Tv's, $50, etc. We also get 50% off our oil changes and car services.
They have an excellent learning program thats helps promote within. Little to no travel is required unless you become an area manager.
Do I think this is an awesome place to work for? Heck yes I do! I've been here only 8 months and could easily see myself retiring from this job. From day 1, they have only encouraged me.
