What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Vector Marketing? What do you like best about working at Vector Marketing? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees? |

Perks: They don't take tax out of your paycheck, so you'll have to find out what your taxes are yourself. you get to spend $170 on a set of knives before you start working. Unpaid training. And to top things off, so you don't feel awkward during your first appointments, you sell knives to family and freinds. |

there's no starting salary. you get paid on commission. if you don't sell, you get paid base pay. depending on your office, i hear it's difficult to get base pay out of your managers. the only benefit with working for vector is you get sales rep status. basically what that means is at the end of the year you get a different tax write off form than other people. you can write off more things than the average guy, but you still end up paying taxes. bonuses. well if you do really well with the company and you reach a certain amount of career sales, you get bonus commission at the end of the month. basically, if, for example, you've sold 10,000 in that month. instead of earning 3000 for the month...they'll give you a 2000 bonus and you'll earn 5000. travel requirements. this is all you. they don't pay for any transportation. you'll be paying to get yourself to the office, to each appointment, and to any meetings they set up. oh, and you don't get paid when they call you in to the office or when you go to the meetings. |

If your a salesperson and know a lot of people, go for it. I went through their training, and you start off selling expensive knives to people you know. Then, from them, you ask for referrals (other people that they know that may be interested in purchasing knives, in which you set up an interview with them), and you go from there. It was a pain for me, cuz all my friends and family are broker than broke.
