Location Managers do not get paid nearly enough for the job that needs to be done...... stear clear of Velocity Express they treat the IC's like lower class insects and the employees are not treated much better by upper management 90% of the time. Don't be surprised if a manger is soon expected to clean toilets when the cleaning crew does not show up for non payment!

I was a dock worker that was 'termed' back in Feb. '08 after running the Grand Rapids, MI terminal pretty much by myself for three months. City mgr & Ops Sprvsr quit in Nov. '07 after upper mngmt crapped on them one too many times, and left me to run the place with intermittent visits from other city mgrs and network v.p. They all played the "We'll take care of you" game to me and all the I.C.s. After I worked 3 months at 65-70 hrs per week, for $10/hr, they finally overlooked me and hired 2 newby's and let me go with one day, YES ONE DAY, notice. Any and all of you would be well advised to steer clear of Velocity Express altogether.

Salaries bonuses now that's a joke your lucky you even get a check to cover your expences
