I applied to verizon in march 2010. I was going threw my 2010. I was going threw my background check but I notified the recruiter that I had an family emergency and had to turn the position down. I have applied for the same position twice and got denied. I don't know if I will ever get an offer again. Any advice. Thanks again. Any advice. Thanks

Look up HR department that covers the area local to you for the jobs of which you have applied. Try to reach someone by phone and explain you were offered a position previously and prior to accepting that position you had a family emergency and unfortunately were in a position where you couldn't accept the offer. Explain that you are sorry and have reapplied several times since and keep receiving rejections. Explain you have stabilized the past issue and are ready to reapply but want to clear up if there's anything causing ineligibilty to be hired because you couldn't accept a job offer. As long as your family emergency can be proven and is really a family emergency (not that your pet fish died) there's no reason they shouldn't help you. You may have to reach out to them its possible a recruiter got annoyed with your last minute offer decline and put a do not hire notation on your email and name if you apply again. Clear it up first.
