i was wondering if anyone who works for verizon has their girlfriend or boyfriend on benefits/medical insurance.

i noticed it says only same sex domestic partners but i read somewhere 90 percent of jobs that just have same sex domestic partners listed also have opposite sex domestic partner benefits they just don't advertise it ..

i was wondering because my boyfriend lives with me for the past 6 years and we have a child together and i was told by someone that they had the same situation and just put their girlfriend down under spouse.

You need to be married, usually. I had to send a marriage certificate to add my husband to my insurance. Be careful, though. Texas is a common law marriage state where you are legally considered married if you represent to anyone officially that you are.
My friend just had to pay for a "divorce" from her common law husband because he was able to prove that she had claimed they were married once on paperwork somewhere.
