For as long as I can remember Volt places skilled and non-skilled people in low paying jobs. I have seen many of their jobs and I find it to be a joke that any person with an Associate Degree or more of college level work would take a job below $20/hour. I know people with little more than a high school diploma making up to $14 in retail. Therefore, Volt is under paying its contract staff or they can't connect with companies that pay good wages. The last thought is if you work a contract wage job add 20% to what they offer for benefits offset.

Most good recreuiters work for SMALLER firms. They work harder for you, more direct attention to your search and if its a temp job they will usually pay more because the overhead is less.

Philip,
I hope this helps you.Good luck in your search.

Philip... Go look at the national average for recent grads that have earn their BS or BA. I think you will be surprised to see that the national average is around $50K. Therefore a person with and AA, AS or some college should be around $40K.
