Do you work at Volt Services? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

My advice is to run away! Volt is notorious for being a low-ball contractor, and for treating their contractors like crap. I would recommend just about anyone else.

Also on the stay-away list is Apex. They really low-ball. Once I was on a contract getting $35 an hour, the guys from Apex were getting $14.

If you're a techie, I'd recommend Ciber. Excell is good as well.

Apparently you have to be/speak Spanish. Just look at Volt's ad. Where's a lawyer? That is discrimination to a large portion of the population. Whoever files the first class-action lawsuit for these kinds of things....god bless you.........

Volt Technical was very good to me. I got paid great and it's not Volt's fault for low pay it's the company your working for that is too cheap to pay. Most agency's have to take a ~3% cut of your pay so it isn't their fault, that is how they make money and stay in the game. I was treated great by Volt, it's recruiters and their benefits dept. I have been sent to Apple, and other high tech companies all with great pay, medical and life insurance.

Do you mean working FOR VOLT as a salesperson or working for one of their clients? They are an agency.
