I know I am also going the way of the fired
I don't know where to turn.
Someone said that Ken Thompson makes like 12 million a year.. Cmon and they are worried about a box of checks and possibly 4 or 5 cents of interest..
By the way I was told to do.

Wow, this is all so absurd and awful. I feel terrible for those affected. I worked as an FS for a couple of years in South Florida before taking a new job a couple of months ago and can say this was common practice down there as well and was definitely something we were trained to do. Are they going to start firing people for putting problem customers on the do not call list as well? I was told explicity by my sales and service leader to put angry customers on the list. They even did it in area wide meetings, amazing. A lot of bankers in my old area must be freaking out right now, I will have to call one of them tomorrow to see if this has hit down there yet. Best of luck to all of you, you will likely be much happier in whatever new position you land on. I hate that company.

I hope that all of you continue to post to these boards as it is extremely helpful for those involved. From NJ we have 8 people ready to go the distance. Please keep it up. For those of you reading the messages with your stupid comments, go somewhere else, although your shallow thoughts make us laugh, we are trying to justify our jobs here and support each other, something you most likely know nothing about.
We need to keep on this thing because it will go away without a fight and really there are a ton of people affected here, MAJORLY!!
When talking about facts, here is one I know, although I heard a lot. But I would like to get down to the bottom line of FACTS, not hearsay, so if you know somehthing please post it, but if you heard something and you dont quite know its a fact, please mention that. This has become a legal issue and dealing with Facts is what will help us.

Sorry I forgot to mention the fact ---- NJ had about 10 people fired, NY had the same, all for the bogus crown situation. There were another 3 people but on probaation with no incentive for 90 days (which is worse than being fired I think with these bases).

Funny sounds familiar, get on board. fired than brought back, isnt that grounds for something? How can they do that? What the hell is going on. The fact that they held onto you for 11 days brings up the fact that they are scared, guarenteed, and seriously, it helps us like we have no idea.

I have. Thats why Im calling out this . I started a website at exwbemployees.com to pull all of this information together. You can read my mini bio there and what ultimately placed me in this situation (the ¨CROWN AFFAIR¨ if you ask me). My expectation today is to work extensively to bring order to the site and make each post revolving around information we need (names of lawyers, all the documentation we need, meeting locations, etc.) Let´s make sense out of all this. I´ll keep you all posted throughout the day.

Have you guys checked out the Fired from Georgia threads? There is a discussion on class actions now and a meeting for us.

the site again: exwbemployees.com

I too was let go in the Crown fiasco from last August after the DDA explosion program. I thought the idea was to provide uncommon service to the clients.

Let me expound a little. I went out on disability on March 11, on my way back from the doctor I was called to a meeting and told I was fired. I just had knee surgery and learned that Wach is putting comments on our U4 forms. I was a TOP FS in NJ for 8 years and have clients that will follow me when I land again. In the meantime I am collecting Workers Compensation.

I have something similar, although I was not involved with the Crown account. I got hired about a year ago to work in L.A., although my team is based on the east coast. The guy that was training me is a racist bigot who let me know "all you f'n mexicans look alike to me" and how so and so is nothing but a N******.

He was really riding me and insulting me in front of others, but of course in front of management he was the nice guy who was always looking out for the team. I filed a complaint, and about two weeks later was put on 90 day probation for not meeting performance expectations.

Sad to see such a big company that preaches teamwork, does not practice it.

I wasn't fired but my boyfriend who worked for Wachovia Bank and Wachovia Securities bank in Alabama got "involuntarily dismissed" months ago. He was one of their top Financial Specialists, exceeded every goal, grew the branch a lot every year, would stay til 9 at night.. only problem, he work for a Still Stuck In Highschool Drama Queen who was the financial center manager, she would report things about him that were false, not send him important info, not refer clints to him, tell clints HORRIBLE and false information about him, and the list goes on... Not too long before the dismissal, they wrote him up for a medical condition that he has, the doctors sent email confirming that he had the condition and was going through therapy, for them to be willing to work with him.. completely ignoring this fact.. they write him up and put him on probation, day after day was just another attempt to push him to his breaking point to get him to either quit or do something stupid to get fired.. eventually they said he was involunteeraly dismissed.. It is amazing to me that this sort of thing can just happen to people who are NOT bad people, are NOT stealing money, who go to work everyday, are dedicated to their job, and good people. He never signed any of the write up people or the dismissal, and he sent in an appeal letter... like I said, it has been a while.. Wachovia HR SUCKS!! It's been one headache after another!
Good luck to all you others!

I have worked for Golden West(World Savings)/Wacko since 1997. Wachovia took over and implemented "The Wachovia Way", which in most cases, made no sense. The computers run the company. HR is nothing more than a bunch of robots (with a southern drawl). The person they put in charge of national mortgage sales, Scott Fisher, has repeatedly lied about the mortgage division restructure. He has been blowing smoke for the last three months. The Board of Directors should have fired him when they realized he didn't have a plan at all.

They have forced me to resign so they can avoid paying me(and many others)the severance package we are entitled to. They "offered" me a new position, which in no way resembles my current position, on a "accept it or resign" basis. I won't let them get away with it.

Does anyone know where the class action lawsuit against wachovia stands and when our u-5's will get expunged? I am reaching out to all of you that are part of the "CROWN" affair.

I was just let go from Wachovia on Monday Dec. 1st. I had been on STD for almost three months for an illness that directly affected my job. They were very supportive the entire time I was out...emailing my leader every so often for an update, receiving responses such as, "Take as much time as you need to get better, we're all pulling for you and are excitedly anticipating your return". My return to work date was Dec 1st. I reported to my new branch, as mine had closed on Oct 8th of this year. I unpacked my entire office, set everything up, reset passwords, reached out to clients etc. I was contacted by my leader that morning to come visit him at his office. He advised me that it was a 'debrief' to get me up to speed with changes regarding the Wells Fargo merger, along with the potential changes to our Compensation Plan (I too was an FS). When I arrived at his office, I was met by him and a Corporate Investigator. Completely blindsided. Long story short, I had another FS open an account for my 84 year old grandmother, because as we all know, we cannot open accounts for family members. My Grandmother was banking at Bank of America, and I was going through some financial difficulty. She was depositing funds to help satisfy my debt and also so I could have a safe haven to put my funds in the event there was a levy placed on my account. To satisfy the debt, a fellow FS processed a Debit Memo from her account to mine, via phone with her approval. I have done this for MANY clients when their CDs mature or they need a phone transfer. Debit memos do not require a client's signature, only an approving manager. Apparently, Corp got wind of this in MAY...its now DECEMBER and they bring it up now. Theyre just looking for reasons at this point. There were no fraud claims or complaints from my Grandmother. Poor business practices and shady mgmt!
