Wachovia took $10,000 out of my account. No notice - just took the money.
They claimed that I was overpaid for a leave of absence - yet after inspecting their records they have now admitted that not only did they NOT over pay me, they also failed to pay me for 140+ hours of PTO. Almost a month later I am still trying to recoup all my money and sort out THEIR accounting mistakes. So I just have to suck it up and go without MY MONEY while they take their time to figure out their f*@$ up. How can this even be legal? When I asked how they could just STEAL money out of my account - their response was that when you agree to direct deposit they can take money out of your account. Apparently without even contacting you or verifying that you do in fact owe them money. I don't even work there anymore. I explained that I had closed my employee account and no longer had direct deposit - their response was that they had access to it anyway. In yet another Wachovia accounting error another $90 was taken from my account. I had a corporate credit card and while on a leave of absence my manager failed to assign a delegate to take care of the account. When I returned the balance was more than DOUBLE with late fees and penalties. I paid the 243.00 just to get it taken care of. Now they're stating I owe an additional $90 in late fees and just took it out of my bank account. Needless to say I have moved my money to another bank. In the meantime I have had to take a much smaller apartment in a different neighborhood and school system. Could it get any worse? Yes. I could go on and on about the comedy of errors and fiascos of the "leadership" of Los Angeles or more appropriately "the blind leading the blind". Bottom-line - The entire company from L.A. to North Carolina is a disaster. If you have an account with them be warned they can take your cash |

Oh no this was done by North Carolina! I'm happy to report I've gotten some of the money back and they've admitted error after the fact, but there is still $5200 in dispute. Criminals! |

They take money out of their customer's accounts too. They mess things up and then they don't fix it like accidentally reporting people to ChexSystems when THEY made the error and not fixing the problem so that YOUR name is on a bad check list because of a bank human/computer error. WOW! They took money often regularly out of my a friend of the family's elderly or deceased (i'm not sure which, but his daughter-the friend of the family, did not know that they had been doing this for perhaps years, idk--it was a LONG time, she's rich on her own accord from a very successful career and she and her doctor husband both serve in our armed forces and WOW how wachovia treats people who are ALREADY stressed enough. My personal ordeal with the ChexSystems caused me a job opportunity with a different bank, and other problems. VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY stressful situation. But other than that personal problem time with me, and once when I was a kid and first opened account with the bank that they took over, there was a matter of $10.00 missing with no explanation--it was put back, and my mum was like, I'm sure it was a random error...well, as a kid, I didn't like this and I think that they didn't think a kid would notice. I don't think they'd taken more than $10.00 out but still, it was my money at the time :-) But other than that I had no problems infact, I BRAGGED about their customer service with anyone who would listen--PRIOR to that horrid experience with them damaging my name--and I was YELLED at and talked to rather horrendously by a lady on the phone who accused me of dishonesty and insulted my mother too! wow! Oh but yeah, those were my only two significant personal experiences with them, but with that LAST experience with the ChexSystems--what had been a like an 8 year happy customer-bank marriage was ruined by that ONE (PRO-LONGED) experience--I loathed them and would get nauseated for a while after seeing their customer service commercials |
