When you are on the website....Look under Firstplace (it is a designated temp to hire department that offer full-time positions)....It is connected to Wachovia. |

Wachovia is hard to get a job with. In order to become a teller, you have to take a test at one of their locations. They will call you to schedule a test. Then you have to STAY for about 3 hrs while they wait to get your results back. They told me I passed the test, and they would call me for an interview in a month. Well, I need a job NOW. Also, they could not guarantee that I would be able to get the position for which I originally applied, and tried to get me to agree to going to an interview at a branch an hour away. Jerks. |

Does anyone know the average pay rate for a Financial Specialist at Wachovia, I worked at SunTrust Banks as a Financial Service Representative which is basically the same thing. My rate there starting off was $14.00 even and that was in a IN-Store Branch not a Traditional. So i am trying to figure how to compute a desired salary. Give me some help on this. Also there was a new opening for a Teller Manager. And I want to apply for this. So anyone that works or have worked in the Branches Please give me some advice/knowledge |

The starting salary is 10.00/hr as i have no previous teller experience. The interview requires u to apply ureself to different situations... then its a wrap!!!!! |

I was asked just a couple of questions. First the interviewer told me about the company. then she asked me "tell me when you made a angry customer happy, and how?" i answered with good situation, but i said lot of "likes", "you know". then she asked me "why do you think you are a good candidate for this job, and your skills?" and she was like, thats it. ill talk to the manager and call you in ten days. So my question is, "Did i failed the interview?" I have a very good experience with the with similar position. |

If you can pass the personality test, speak English, and can add, chances are Wachovia will hire you for a teller position. There is a huge staffing shortage in my area. Starting pay is $10.50/hr for tellers. Also, there are incentives for current Wachovia employees to refer potential employees. In my area, it is $750 per teller and $2,000 per Financial Specialist. - as long at they are hired and remain employees for at least three months. It may be beneficial for you, if you are currently searching for employment, to visit a branch. Ask to speak to the Financial Center Manager and have a copy of your resume with you. There's a good chance the local SL/FSL will contact you faster than the generic application process. |

I know enought to send police at where you live for telling somebody they're not bright. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL PEOPLE THEY CANT DO SOMETHING, OR THEY ARE NOT BRIGHT. Hey, speed racer you need to slow down a little!! Not likely someone would hire a hot head like you. It's a small world and not hard to find out where you are and notify Wachovia about your online conduct. |

If there are grammar mistakes, or typos, so what? Let's not attack, but only try to help. If we can't stay positive or be positive towards someone, let's not go on the forum at all. Or, if someone attacks you, let them be. Chances are you'll never see that person in your life. |

I worked as a Fs for five years I have just left Wachovia to go into business myself. As an FS you will have to wear many hats doing not only investments, deposits,Loans, but also small business. Some of the things they dont tell you upfront is the worthly reports that no one reads but they make sure you fill out each week. The only problem I had with the company is the fact that you spend 80% of you time doing things that bring only 20% of your income.Cold calling. The Base pay can go from $45k-$50k depend on your background but you make more money in commission. If you are in a good location heavy traffic with nice clients you can bump your pay up to $100k easy. I would say the norm in the NC location that I was in was $70k per year as an FS. |

I'm currently going through the hiring process. I've taken drug test and been finger printed. Also have given my recruiter my ss# for further background checking. But does have bad credit bar a person from being hired? |

However I know of others who didn't get hired or who got fired a long time after they were hired because Wachovia found out about something in their credit history. I guess the only way to really find out is to directly ask them. |

I interviewed for the FS position with starts at $40,000 here, but made one comment that busted me. I had my own insurance agency and we sold it. I said I had never had production requirements to meet. That spooked them and I lost. Maybe I should have said I drive a Navigator, the husband drives an E55 AMG Mercedes and our income was in the top 3% in the nation. Be careful what you volunteer in the interview. I made that comment in humor, but it shot me in the foot for sure....and I am series 7, 63 and 65 registered. The interview was grueling. They wanted specific answers to individual situations they questioned about, not general answers. They even commented how well I had done, but the minute I mentioned no production requirements in my business, I became disqualified. They have a non-stop ad for that position throughout this area in their web site continously. I suspect it has a high turnover. |

I recently had an interview and I was wondering how long would it take before they let me know if I was hired? Do you have to do the drug test and fingerprinting before they tell you that you are hired. Or am I not hired because they didn't tell me the same day to do a drug test. Am I just paranoid because I had the interview on Thursday and I thought I would hear something the same day or maybe the next but nope nothing. Please don't reply by saying you I wouldnt want to work for them anyway. I would just like to know how long the hiring process takes. |

You know, regardless as to what position you were applying for, if I were you I would call them first thing Monday am and ask if they have made a decision yet. The best thing is to find out up front what their next steps are. If they tell you that they still need to complete the process, inquire as to when you should expect to hear from them. That way, you hear the process from the horses mouth. If by the end of business that day you don't hear from them, then call right before day's end. In other words, call just enough to let them know that you really want the job and they will realize that they have to give you an answer. |

I got a call from the recruiter this morning and she told me I passed the interview but the branch manager decided to hire someone else for that particular branch. She said that she would find me a different branch and give me a call back. So the next step would be for me to meet with the other branch manager and do drug testing seeing as how I don't have to interview again. Thanks for you replys I was just paranoid. |
