It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Wal-Mart?

Any advice on striking the right note?

The interview process is a little tougher then just speaking English. :-)

They want to know how you handle conflicts, and what your approach to problem solving is. I think it helps to be confident and unafraid to afraid to share examples from you life that express these things. Obviously you want to place a positive spin on things. You definitely do not want to talk about the argument you had with a spouse, and how you slammed the door in their face.

I understand they are looking for people who have good verbal skills and show some emotional stability. Some questions might relate to how you handled a difficult situation when there was no body else around to help you solve the problem. They might also ask how you cope with an angry customer, or a co-worker who has a different style then you.

If you are truly interested in working at Wal-mart, do not give up. Feel free to contact them later if you were not chosen so you can find out what you did wrong. A humble attitude can go a long way toward sharing your character and worth.
