Good website Alex, however, it had nothing to do with Walgreens employment checks. They merely do a criminal background check - period.

By law, any company doing any kind of background check (beyond calling previous employers) is required to obtain your consent in doing so. Walgreens does some form of credit check, criminal background check, and a drug test before hiring. Read the items you check at the beginning and end of any application you fill out. The can check:
Criminal record
Credit History - score, previous addresses, dates and places of employment
Government handouts you have gotten
