I've been working at Walgreens for 9 months as a service clerk and a photo specialist, prior to working at walgreens i was a manager in training at KFC doing inventory, cash counting and closing shift. What is it that Walgreens looks for in an employee to move up?

I'm pretty sure you at least need an Associates degree for consideration.
