How do you get into Walgreens? Do you have to know someone? It seems to me that even if you're qualified, they don't call you, so if someone has gotten an interview and/or hired, could you please write back?

I have applied at Walgreens at least 10 times in the past. I have since then stopped trying to get a job with them. I did get 2 interviews on different occasions, passed the tests and was never called back. I am qualified to work there. Funny thing is I know some people that work there and I have no idea how in the world they got their jobs!

Their hiring process seems to be typical of so many places these days. They don't have very much consideration for the applicant--they ask for a lot of screening questions before they even grant you a phone interview. Then they blow you off. What has happened to respect for the candidate's time and effort? All that matters to companies like this are their profits. It's sad.

Qualified & Blown off in Niles, Illinois

I was told by HR that I was in a final candidate pool of 5 from initially >100 but HR was put on hold from the manager. I never heard back after numerous follow ups. Almost 9 months later, the job is *still* posted and re-posted. They obviously are not serious in hiring for the position.
