Management does not seem to care. I am still working for Walgreen, but find it very difficult to get answers from managers. Seems like they do not want to be bothered! Their attitude needs adjustment. They are cold and unfriendly! There are better places to work than Walgreens! |

Under our current system, we need a paper check to deposit into our account in order for the customers money to go to our account. Its pretty straight forward - if we don't give the check to the bank, we don't get the money. (Unless they have express checking in the pharmacy. In that case, we don't need their check because we have their account information on file and can debit their account electronically.)

Is anyone out there familiar with the Function Manager positions at the Walgreens Distribution Centers? I have follow up interview for it and am interested to know more... |

Because of this time 1 year ago, when we had very heavy expenses, company wide was cutting down on lots of things, including overtime. When I was a mgt, even in a labor shortage area, we were not allowed overtime.

Robi. the problem with Walgreens is that they are cutting hours even in the management ransk that it is affecting morale. I have been a MGT for almost two years and I have yet to complete all of my PPLs. This is preventing me from applying and becoming an EXA. I am an overnight (graveyard MGT) and when the night shift does not do their End of Day, that causes the main computer to freeze up all the registers. It always happens when the pharmacy and the front check outs are busy too! In your case, you have to pull the drawer LOOK inside the till to see if the check got stuck in the back of the till. There is no way to find the route number because there is no recording system when you run a customer's check through the check printer. That stinks. It is stupid but that is the way it goes. When they sprang me loose on the graveyard shift, I didn't know how to do voids and refunds so I was stuck there scratching my head. I had to call three other Walgreens for help. Bad training. |
