Im still in college, but I just got hired as a CSSR in SF a few weeks ago and am realizing I could have possibly started with a higher wage?

Does being a Finance or Business Major automatically get you a higher salary starting out, as opposed to having like a Communications major for example?

Also, what is a good/solid starting salary as CSSR in San Francisco??

(Thank you in advance for any feedback, help or info)

No, it does not affect your salary. For example, one of my coworkers was a teller and ended up being promoted to a banker. He has a finance degree and still gets paid the same as the other bankers who don't have any degree/credentials.

This may be different if you're working in a corporate environment (which may require MBA). Not sure what the pay rate is for CSSR - they phased that out for the year I was working. Looks like it's back on the track?
