What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at WinCo Foods?

What do you like best about working at WinCo Foods? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

Their starting salaries are usually 10-15c/hr over minimum wage. There is no special bonuses for non-management team. You are legible for benefits after 90 days of work, ONLY if you have worked 100 hrs every of those 3 months. They offer health and life insurance.
I wouldn't not recommend working at Winco. B/c they make your schedule horrible, they can make you finish your shift at 1 am and you are not even allowed to park your car in the parking lot by the store (even if you finish late). It's pretty scary to walk a long way in the dark through empty parking lots to get to your car. They always make you work weekends. Holidays. Doesn't matter. All the employees start part-time. One week you may get 38 hrs, another - 15. And there is no guarantee that one day they will let you work full-time. There is absolutely no working policies in this company that somehow would protect emplyees from abuse and harassment. Yes,people, it's a sweat shop big time!

This information is not correct. I worked for Winco for 8 years. I started as a cashier and left as lower management. First they do give bonuses to all employees. The only requirement is that you have worked there for at least 6 months. At Christmas they give all employess gift certificates. In the spring is your store profitted the quarter before they give employees that have been employed 6 months to a year a gift certificate. Employees that have worked there over a year get cash bonuses. The amount is based on years worked. Also the store manager gives out bonuses to 4 employees 4 times a year.
The two managers I worked for made it a rule that everyone was to be scheduled their 100 hours to make sure everyone got their benefits. If the manager doesn't allow parking close to the building, it is a Winco policy that any employee wanting to be escorted out to their car shall be escorted without question. Working weekends is a given.....It's a GROCERY store, a huge part of working people are off on the weekends, which is when they shop! And what do people do lots of around the holidays?? COOK & 't BAKE... It's no secret if you want weekends and holidays off...Don't get in the grocery business! Set hours are not guaranteed and that is explained to all pre-employment. As for policy's to protect employees from abuse and harrassment...There are LAWS against that sort of stuff in the workplace so yes Winco protects against any kind of abuse or harrassment because they abide by the law and do have their own policy's. Did'nt you ever get the long yellow piece of paper during your orientation? That's just basic's. You really should get your facts straight before making false accusations!
