DO NOT USE WYZANT FOR YOUR SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES!!! Wyzant only require a short, well-worded paragraph from any would-be tutor to qualify them for tutoring students with special needs. So, if your student is LD, ED, ASD, Asperger's, or OTH, you have no way of knowing if your prospective tutor is really qualified, or not. Oh, and get this..., Wyzant will NOT accept your state-issued teaching license as a qualifying document to prove that you are certified to teach ANY level of Special Education. They rely strictly on what you type in their little box and their reviewer's recommendation in order to qualify you to teach special needs students. If you think about it, that does not bode well for any other supposed certifications that WYZANT declares, either. Any unscrupulous person could very well cheat on any and all of their exams and still earn a "qualified" status to teach your child.

Bottom line? DO NOT USE WYZANT !!!
