For each of the Underwriting position I've applied for (which I have more than 10 yrs. experience) Zurich has never contect me or any one I know for an interview and my friends have the same or more experience than I in: Casualty, Personal Lines & Comm-Lines underwriting. Either the industry is drying up or they are just collecting resume to show the government their complying to regulation regarding hiring. |

I agree with you Kevin..I have applied several times, and I have numerous years of u/w experience. I was beginning to wonder if my resume was going into a black hole, guess I should wonder no more... |

Connect is not spelled contect. |

Why don't you read the complete sentence. He meant contacted, not connect. |

i had 5 interviews with them. finally the last guy i spoke with said he was going to ride me 24 hours a day...this is a 70 hour a week job and also said that the cell phones had tracking devices in them so that he would know where his employees are 24 hours a day...i told him the 1st interviewer could have saved us both alot of time and walked....i've seen this adv. posted for over a year so everyone must have the same feelings i do....DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME.... |

That's a little funny to me. I worked for him for 3 yrs. The position has been posted for so long because every time he hires an underwriter, another underwriter resigns. He is extremely picky about who he wants which is why he was feeding you a bunch of bull about the position being 70 hrs/wk and the cellphone tracking. (hope you don't take that personally) He wouldn't let me touch the idea of moving into the position. Really sorry you had such a bad experience. It definitely was a waste of your time. |
