No, but when I checked my profile, it said that the position was filled. They had to have made their decision today for the position I was going for because up until around 2:30 or so, my status was under review. I checked my e-mail, and I didn't get anything from them. I don't know what to make of that because they changed my profile so late in the day, but I didn't get a call or an e-mail. I'm guessing they're going to call me tomorrow and let me know that the deal is. Did you check your e-mail?

No, nothing. I hope something comes by friday. Did they tell you when class starts for those selected?

If my memory is correct, it's supposed to starti in a few weeks. I believe they made their decision today, and if I'm right, they should be making the calls tomorrow. I called the recruitment center today, and they told me that once you have your f2f, they no longer have anything to do with the hiring process. I was told that I had to wait for the hiring manager to call. I left a follow up msg today. I'm hoping that we both get some good news tomorrow! Lol from reading this blog, I don't believe anyone has been contacted yet.

Yes, I check my e mail all the time looking for something from them. The recruiting center did say that the local hr person would call either way about a decision. The class was scheduled to start the 27th or 28th of dec. I don't know. Frustrating. I bet you'll get a call tomorrow. If they had you do an application, you should be good. Did you do background check and drug test? Those are the last steps from what I've read on this forum.

I sent the paperwork for the background check, but I wasn't contacted to do a drug screening yet. I will wait and see if I get a call.

I've left another msg, but no one can tell me anything. With the class starting in about 2 weeks, I just knew that we would've heard something by now. I was told that it's policy that they will get in touch with me either way, but they can't tell me any more than that.

Wow...I haven't tried to call becuz I think that's a call center and they will give a generic response. If you need to give 2 weeks notice that's not possible now. It looks like it may be Friday. I hope it is anyways

Thanks. I don't know what to do now...I thought I had a spot, so I took a temp job until I heard back from them. Today that assignment ended too.

God will provide for you. Just keep the faith. I know it's not easy....alot easier to say than do. I'm sorry you didn't get the job. Maybe they'll be hiring for another dept. Keep checking back.

I'm so sorry! I got that same e-mail, but you know you're right! I know that there's something better out there for the both of us! :) my outlook is a little bit brighter. I've been applying to the temporary agencies. The more you apply to, the sooner a job offer will come along. It seems that nowadays going through them is the only way you can find work if you don't have a strong network.

Good idea. You're not the 1st to suggest that. Guess I will too.

That was awesome!! I thank you so much for that prayer because Lord only knows how much I needed it! :) If you're in the Jacksonville area, there are a lot of temporary agencies to apply for, and I suggest you go with as many as you can, but the one that has been finding me work is Office team. They are friendly, and I feel that they really care about my work situation. They haven't let me down yet (by God's grace). You may want to give them a call :)

I worked at Aetna in CT for 5 years in IT Helpdesk Support and was laid off recently. The last day I was employed I received an email from Aetna and a certain temp agency instructing me to register with the temp agency to continue my employment. I always had 100% on my scorecard and perfect attendance. Beware, this is how they treat their employees! They want to save $ by attempting to term us and expecting a smooth transition to a temp agency; expecting us to work for half the salary, no benefits and even pay for parking.

I have to admit....I cried over the fact that I didn't get the job at Aetna because looking for work is work within itself. I've been out of work for a little over a month, and I started to get nervous about how I was going to pay my bills and whatnot, and I was sure that after I got the application and the form to fill out for the background check I was a shoe in. I was truly disappointed, but after reading these posts, maybe God spared me without me even realizing it.

Yes, I can Imagine to get that far in the process and not get it would be very disappointing. You're not alone. I've been on unemployment since August. You're right..finding a job in this economy is a job and a half. I'm with you...God has a something better for us.

The one thing that frustrates me the most about the job search is the fact that no one gets back with you, even after the interview!! I had a face to face with Aetna, and I still didn't get a call back! When I called them, I got the generic answer "It's in the hiring manager's hands, and you will get a call back either way", and they never did. I had to see it in my profile that the position was filled. But it's not just Aetna, it's just about every company I've applied to! Then you get the excuse that they're too busy to respond to everyone that applied, and I say that's truly a copout!! What about technology?! For those that applied and weren't chosen, you can send out a generic e-mail with the push of a button! How simple is that? I sat on my hands for 1 complete month hoping to hear from them, and that's with just about every place I've applied to. I pray that those that make the hiring and firing decisions are never in a situation like mine! If they ever do, I hope that they're given more compassion than I was. Now a days, you can't even follow up and get any answers on the position you've applied for! It's terrible!!

The saddest part is, they already know this!

I was wondering has anyone here been hired in Jacksonville lately? I was trying to get in with this company and it's difficult. I passed the phone and face to face interview, but after a month of waiting, I called and was told that the position I was applying for had been filled. I figured what God has in store for me, I will receive when he's ready to give it, and Aetna just wasn't the position he had in store for me. I'm still looking for work in the medical field. At the present moment, I'm volunteering to gain even more experience. I'm willing to take the most entry level position that's available if it will get my foot in the door. I have gone through the phone interview, face to face interview, and application/background check over a 2 weeks ago, but still have not heard anything. The background check company informed me that they did complete everything and my information was sent over to Aetna as of 3/6. This is for the claims processing position. I am getting worried that I didnt get it :\.

I was hired on January 22 2012. For Aetna's dental customer service dept. I applied three different times, but this time God has blessed me and I start working 03/19/2012. The whole hiring process took a month. Good luck everyone, and when I start working I will let you all know how it is.

Did anyone ever get back with you? I was also called this Monday and told that everything was complete and that I should be hearing from the hiring manager with an offer. My start date is suposed to be next Monday and I have yet to even be set up for a drug test. I have also been waiting for a month now. Any input would be wonderful. Thanks.
