Guide

Check job postings online. Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. Or use this very board! Some posted jobs have salaries. Be aware, though, that for Pharm Tech, most advertised jobs are for folks with experience. Entry level pharm techs are hired through a company's own recruiting efforts, or with smaller places like neighborhood pharmacies, networking and word of mouth. I've placed Pharm Techs in Tampa in my Career Services Role. Here, salaries for new Pharm Techs range from $8.50 to about $12 for entry level. Mail order and hospital pays more than retail.

Duh, mr guide. The Indeed website collects postings from those other boards so anything you'd find there will already be here. You are unqualified as a guide for these forums.

I checked on career builder and post and they are saying the make at least 9 here and that is not the case where I work. I do have experience not much but some. I only make 8 an hour. I have work for the company for a little over 6 months now and I have also done some classes. I think it sad what we make but I know that cashiers and other jobs require more with less pay. Thank you.

From what I was told they can make anywhere from $12 - $25 an hour, but I've yet to see such compensation.

The amount of money that you can make as a pharmacy technician depends on your geographical location and amount of experience. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), in May 2006 the highest 10 percent of pharmacy technicians earned more than $17.65 per hour; the middle 50 percent earned an hourly rate between $10.10 and $14.92. Certification and evening/weekend work may increase your amount of earnings. Check here for more info about Pharmacy Technician.
