I don't know about where most of the people on this forum live but where I live, Adecco is the best temp agency out there. They are the only one to give benefits of any kind. They are also the highest paying. My husband worked through them for 5 months.
Before he worked through Adecco, he worked through a temp agency called Custom Staffing Services. It was TERRIBLE. They paid $8/hour for a 10 hour a day factory job with no benefits whatsoever.
Oh, and I've even see WORSE than that. There are at least 3 temp agencies in my area that have you show up at 5am every morning to see if you have a job. Jobs are first-come, first-serve and if you happen to get there at 5:05am and there are no jobs, they ask you to come back at 2pm for the 2nd shift jobs. I know that this economy is tough, but that is just ridiculous.
Just thought I'd add a little perspective.
