What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does First Citizens and Trust Bank stack up against the competition?

Mostly, I can't say it's a bad place to work. But in the Marketing Department, the management of Advertising is terrible.
The owner of the bank is too involved with details that should be left to the employees.
Overall, the Marketing Department needs to be fixed. Many people have left or been let go due to poor management.

Good company -not overly driven by short term demands of the stock market...can take a long term view. They have SERIOUS problems with most of the top and senior-level managers of Marketing Department. If executives start paying attention and fix this problem by doing a full management overhaul (and I do mean overhaul), the company can do well.

Just don't work in their marketing department. The advertising manager there is the worst. She would rather fire someone or make them quit before addressing any issues. She also has a flunky who will do her dirty work for her. The people who are managing the marketing group are the worst kind to work for and they can't be trusted.
Just ask them why no one sticks around more than a year in the advertising department...or where all the experienced employees have gone!

They've been doing very low-key layoffs since October of last year.
