Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Glatfelter?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Glatfelter?

There is very little employee development at Spring Grove, and there is very little discussion of career paths with employees.

Training is generally discouraged. Those employees who take the initiative to get additional certifications or degrees usually have to pay for it on their own. Senior management is very reluctant to pay for Six Sigma Black Belt training. (It appears that they don't understand its concepts.)

The company's senior management gives high priority to its continuous improvement projects/campaigns. While most of those campaigns are successful, about 25% of them are poorly designed and, thus, accomplish very little.
