I always see these posting for HP here in Houston. I see:
They always seem to be contracted out. I applied to a few of them but never hear back. Does anyone know if these jobs are cool or do they suck or are these just bogus jobs HP posts to collect resumes? Thanks, Glenn |

Matthew, Do you work for HP? If so what department do you work in? I would like to find a job in IT operations. What is the best way to get your foot in the door at HP? Thanks... |

Don't know why you would desire to deliver support for HP, we fire our support delivery and outsource for 3 years then fire our outsource and start hiring internal direct delivery again. The only criteria for how we deliver service is bottom dollar. Also, I don't know how it is in the field, but here in the Non-field, promotions are handed out without raises. The philosophy is more pay won't make you happy, but more responsibility and a tile will. I'm constantly looking for a way out of this Co., mid sized/ non-global is the way to go. |

Thanks for the inside info Jeff. I will stay clear of HP. For six years I worked for a big global company where you are just a number so I know your pain. I was happy when I left, it felt good not to have to see that place ever again. |
