Hello,

I see on here that most peoples opinions of working at Home Depot is horrid. I hope that isn't the case for me, because I just got hired to be an "Inventory Control Associate". Can anyone give me some more insight as to what the job really is? Is there a lot of pressure, are you trained well, is it a fairly simple job? Thank you.

I've never heard of an Inventory Control Associate... Inventory Management Associate and Inventory Management Specialist are terms that I'm familiar with... similar positions but much different pay bands and some what different job descriptions

I got my papers at orientation and it says "Inventory Managment Specialist". I have a feeling I'm actually an Associate, though. The Associate sounds more like the description I interviewed for. Plus, I think Specialists are suppsoed to make quite a bit more than what I'm making.

Nope Inventory Management Specialist replaced the lower volume stores Inventory Management Associates. Yes lower pay, more departments but no ordering...

I just moved to a new store. I am an IMS and well I kept my pay...but this store is so messed up. They need somebody that bad. Anyhow, that payband is flexible if they work around the hours. They have us doing the same things but more departments here...ordering, pc, everything, its crazy...and the others don't even know what the hell they are doing...and since I've been here, I've been juggling most of the work in these departments and I'm really angry about it. Not to sure what to do at this point, because I don't want to cause trouble. But more so, I feel bad because I'm sure they make less than I do and they and I both do 10x what I did previously.
