Do you work at Infosys? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

I had SIX rounds of interviews with Infosys.

Round 1 initial screening. (week 1)
Round 2 with a Group manager (week 2)
Round 3 (in-person) with my manager-to-be. (week 3)
Round 4 with HR Head. (week 4)
Round 5 with another Group manager (week 5)
Round 6 with a Vice President. (week 6)

No response except some of the "keep warm" kind - "the offer letter is being finalized", "we are waiting for Senior management approval" etc.

In week 11, the HR Head calls me up to inquire if I am still interested. I tell him yes.

Wonder how much longer it will take.

Are you an H1B/Non-U.S. Citizen?

If so they probably won't hire you from what I hear.

Hmmm? Infosys in an India-based outsourcing company.

They are probably stringing this person along, calling his references and looking for jobs for their folks who will work for 10% of a US citizen.
