You need many more years of experience working as a Histotechnologist in order to teach/train students than what is posted. It takes not only the learning from books/materials, book it is still necessary to work in it for a long time. I went to one of the best schools, was very lucky. We had to spend 8 or more hours each day between the clasroom and the lab. And we all had a BS to start with. Histology techs very often do not know what to do, they do not know the how, much less the why. Something goes wrong, they cannot do it...let the diagnosis wait...All they know is loading machines, let them do the job. Sad, but there are still a few were it is well taught, like in Houston, Texas Medical Center....
