Odd. I went to Labor Ready in Hollywood, CA. Got there at 4am as it opened, asked about work. Filled out an application and then was told to wait. For the next 5 hours, I saw others coming in, some with buds who led them to the dispatcher where they filled out the same application I did. But these kept getting picked and sent out. I was ignored. Never got work. Returned the next day, but was never chosen. Labor Ready seems to be a "who you know" arrangement and there is a definite preference for one demographic over another. Not ethical AT ALL.
