Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Metro Mattress?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Metro Mattress?

shirt and tie dress slack. No happy hours and no friendly get togethers . typical day is sell sell sell .. you never sell enough or sell the right things . the vp of sales always tells you how bad you are and constant review of how you could have done something better, and How not to sell what the customer wants but what they want you to sell

shirt and tie is normal dress unless your female . then smart dress or slacks.
The company culture is one of mistrust and anxiety. Always looking out if you don't sell your share they want a closing ratio of about 70 percent. The VP of sales is a little napoleon always looking to build you up when you start . then he makes you feel like a loser if you don't always do or sell what he wants. Over priced and no customer service . If you are a liar and can do it with a straight face you will fit in. Very High Turnover not a place for a long term career. But if your between jobs and want a lesson in not helping the customer out. This might work

This company is not for people looking for a long term career! They promise you positions and once you get them, they get taken away you pay goes low again. If you have a family do NOT work for them, you can never plan vacations, due to your work schedule not staying consistant. They put extreme amount of pressure on the sales employees to have a high closing ratio and if you dont make it you must go to long boring meetings on your days off!! If you do not attend the meeting you will be suspended for a month without pay. These meetings are not convinent for some due to you having to travel to Syracuse NY. This company even lies to their customers just to make a sale..... Horrible Business!!!
