Did any other Quest Diagnostic employee around the country hear about the union vote on the 28th of this month, in Teterboro, NJ.
And how they hired a union busting firm, Jackson Lewis to help get the union out, there is so much misleading going on its crazy.

Management still up to no good puting out flyers that their hired guns are creating to put fear into those employees who have to vote next friday.
This came up in Teterboro, a few yrs ago, and no one knew that the company had hired and outside firm to attack the employees, with all kinds of misleading information which had everyone going at one another, and they promised to make all kind of changes if the vote went their way and they turn lots of minds over to their side.
once it was over a few months later it was back to the same old thing nothing happened it even started geting worse so units were told that they if they worked on sat, they would have to take off a day during the week no more overtime which alot of employees count on to make up for the 10 or 20 cents rasies they get each yr. thats if they are lucky.
There is someone who has been there 27yrs, and still only makes 17 and hr, her salary is frozen been frozen for yrs,
and they cut overtime, when the broad votes to give themselfs rasies, and one of them makes over 6 million a yr, how much do you need when those way below you need 2 or 3 jobs.

After all the lies have been told we have held together and the vote is this friday, they threw everything they could at us.
They are down to flat out asking us to vote no, but a few yrs
ago they were given a second change and months after the election we were blown off.

You need to wake up there are lots of us who love our jobs, and as RSRs we put our necks on the line each day, and to hear a department head said that if it was up to him he would have given us pens, come on its not the job its those whom think they are slave masters and we should take and shut up, and take it.

I am phlem. in houston tx. We are trying to start a union. It's out of controll they keep promiseing a raise. Full of crap. The lab techs receieved their raises before us good for them. They say phlembotomist are the first contact with the pt.That we make them look good. Well pay us. We do work over staff.

Lawson I work for quest in houston,tx. We did not here about the union meeting. Can you refer me to someone so that we can have union rep. we are feed up with this company. Change has to be made a.s.a.p.

So, did you finally unionize? What happened?

I applied for an IT position with them through a recruiter and am waiting to have a phone screen but after reading all of this, I'm having second thoughts because I wouldn't want to work for a "Law" firm that engages in breaking the law because it's not illegal to unionize and no law firm should be engaging in union busting and resorting to scare tactics. What are we still in the early 1900s' for God's sake when union busting was a norm? Perhaps they have a very high turnover rate because if this is a sign of their ethics, then they must treat their employees no better than the companies that they union bust.
