Management does not seem to care. I am still working for Walgreen, but find it very difficult to get answers from managers. Seems like they do not want to be bothered! Their attitude needs adjustment. They are cold and unfriendly! There are better places to work than Walgreens!

Under our current system, we need a paper check to deposit into our account in order for the customers money to go to our account. Its pretty straight forward - if we don't give the check to the bank, we don't get the money. (Unless they have express checking in the pharmacy. In that case, we don't need their check because we have their account information on file and can debit their account electronically.)
I'm sorry to hear your managers seem unfriendly. They are probably very stressed from their managers asking them to get more done and do it better with less help (hours).

Thank You.
There does to be an "hours" crunch company wide. I just figured that it was a byproduct of their "open more stores stategy." More managers + more new stores = equal greater expenses.

Thanks.
You are probably right. I know th

Because of this time 1 year ago, when we had very heavy expenses, company wide was cutting down on lots of things, including overtime. When I was a mgt, even in a labor shortage area, we were not allowed overtime.
It is very stressful being a "good" mgt, exa , mgr. Unless you are in a great store that is fully staffed, things can be rough. Most managers that I know enjoy talking to employees. There is quite a bit going on that most managers and even some EXA's dont have the answers to.

Robi. the problem with Walgreens is that they are cutting hours even in the management ransk that it is affecting morale. I have been a MGT for almost two years and I have yet to complete all of my PPLs. This is preventing me from applying and becoming an EXA.

I am an overnight (graveyard MGT) and when the night shift does not do their End of Day, that causes the main computer to freeze up all the registers. It always happens when the pharmacy and the front check outs are busy too!

In your case, you have to pull the drawer LOOK inside the till to see if the check got stuck in the back of the till. There is no way to find the route number because there is no recording system when you run a customer's check through the check printer. That stinks. It is stupid but that is the way it goes.

When they sprang me loose on the graveyard shift, I didn't know how to do voids and refunds so I was stuck there scratching my head. I had to call three other Walgreens for help. Bad training.

At store #1004 in Port Orange,FL. There is a a serious management problem! I was given the "Head Photo Specialist" by store manager Pam Edosian in early November 2013. As December approached, SM Pam Edosian stated that she had to "post the HPS position to follow protocol." Please make note that I worked all HOLIDAY HOURS, (CHRISTMAS EVE AND DAY, NEW YEARS EVE AND DAY)! I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT THIS SCHEDULE WAS A "TEST", as to my work ethic. Finally, I interviewed with her on 12/27/2013, at that time she informed me that she would announce her decision on 12/30/2013. Several days passed, I finally approached and was told that the position went to someone else. When questioned, "WHY?".....She stated, "Doug you didn't OWN it." First, what kind of answer is that and she hired from OUTSIDE STORE # 1004? She gave it to me, then took it away...Other assistant stores managers (Alecia Smith, George Miller and Patty Masterek) and store employees (Lucretia Justice, Barry Elrod, Ashley Hill, Stephanie Stringer, and Nancy ?last name) can all attest to this fact! The final insult is the HPS at store# 1004 is someone half my age AND I HAVE TO TRAIN HER ON THINGS SHE SHOULD KNOW BEING THE "HPS". A few last thoughts, I am 50yrs old, hired in 1/2012, and make $8.25/hr! Please someone help me......
