So I am in the financial analyst world and looking for new opportunities. Recently, my recruiter thought I'd be a great fit to work with them here in the Birmingham area. I do have more personality than most accountants and love talking to people. However, I'm not sure that this career change is wise. Can I ever get back into finance/accounting? Does recruiting pay as well I as I think it does?

Opinions?

Depends on the agency. A big one like Robert Half well there's alot of stress to produce.

An independent successful firm with a great owner that would be ideal. They truly care about you.

You have to really feel this recruiter and the firm she works for out.

I do think your finance/accounting career would be over if you changed careers after 2 years.

One thing that I've seen a few times is a recruiter leaving agency recruiting and going to work in a large company doing internal recruiting.

There can be money in it. Good luck.
