Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most accounting assistant opportunities?

There will shortly be a growing demand for Daily Money Managers. Research the name of this profession online to discern all that it entails and why so many consumers/taxpayers will absolutely require those skills in ever-growing numbers in the following months and years.

Soon all businesses, financial institutions and utilities providers will dictate and demand any and all periodic payments by electronic transfer instead of cash, money orders or checks (those methods of "wealth transfer" are simply too expensive when compared to electronic transfer).

Expect higher demand also for licensed tax professionals (attorneys, CPAs and Enrolled Agents) as new federal and state legislation will in fact all but eliminate the franchise-based tax and accounting national and regional companies.
Consumers/taxpayers will need assistance and will soon seek only those individuals with either state or federal licenses to help them with administrative IRS issues (i.e.: audits, collections and appeals).

Watch the followup on what Mr. Obama said about 70% of Americans being able to file their taxes online on a touch screen instead of all this "rapid refund" nonsence and the far-to-high error rate on documents prepared by unlicensed tax preparers. Simplification of the tax code? Probably not, or at least not soon, but the need for a growing number of licensed tax professionals in the next two or three years' time --- definitely!

Senior citizen communities, assisted living facilities, debt management businesses, PROFESSIONAL and LICENSED Tax Preparation firms, particularly "free-lance" and independently-owned firms.
