I will be testing Friday afternoon and would like to brush up on some of the seldom-used aspects of each of these programs. I know that the potential employer I'm testing with will be using Kenexa ProveIt! and will NOT be providing the tutorial.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Great information...thanks so much!

Patricia in Ottawa, Ontario said: This is probably too late for your testing, but Microsoft has a site for free training in Excel, Outlook, PPT and Word etc.

My sister wrote an article on my blog about it and she gave some good tips for learning new programs at secretaryhelpline.blogspot.com/2007/09/theres-nothing-wrong-with-asking-for.html .

Alison Resource has free online courses on Microsoft Office. I have been doing those to brush up my skills. The only draw back is its Microsoft 2003.

Career Builder Institute has a really great online training resource for MS Office. www.careerbuilderinstitute.com/pages/SearchResults.aspx

I used to be a trainer and we used these materials from CustomGuide whenever we taught classes. Everyone enjoyed them, and they teach skills better than any other out there!

Go to www.microsoft.com then click on tab towards right hand side that says TRAINING AND EVENTS. It is a drop-down menu which shows you other selections and you choose OFFICE ONLINE TRAINING.
This site is fantastic and the go-to place for any microsoft applications and tips and downloads and templates. A must see!

There are some free video tutorials here: www.quasaranytime.co.uk/video-demos.
I've been using these people to gain advanced knowledge of Excel. My colleagues are really impressed with my new knowledge. You learn through video, which is great for me because I am a visual learner.

Hope your test turn out well. Comments here prob too late to help you.
But if u happen to need further online courses, these are not free courses but they are very very good in my opinion, and they are reasonably priced.
My personal favourite online Microsoft course (I only have the Excel link but u can find Words and other application on the same site):

Microsoft Excel Dashboard:

Microsoft Excel Expert:

Microsoft Excel Beginner:
