Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming assistant manager interview? Are there common interview questions that come up again and again? |

Do your homework on the company you are interviewing with. Most websites have key insights on their culture. Interviewers usually want to hear that you are interested in eventually progressing from being an assistant manager to the next level offered by their company. This shows that there is a greater chance that you will stay with them. Expect questions concerning teamwork, delegating, developing others, and handling difficult situations, and of course great customer service. Good Luck! |

I actually just had an interview for an assistant store manager of adidas. The two most common questions I receive in every managment interview are ; If I called your previous SM(store manager) what would he/she say about your work ethic? What are your strengths and "areas of opportunity"? |

it will be easier if you have enough information on the company first. Be confident in your speech during the interview and do not underestimate the questions that you will be asked during the interview.

As an employer,I wouldn't ask a former employer anything concerning my applicant! I would, though, ask the perspective employee if he/she has a problem working holidays, greeting customers with a smile, or approaching the shift manager if he/she had any specific questions about their duties. This isn't rocket science. I, for example, want to sell hamburgers and I want the customer coming back to my store for their next hamburger. It's that simple. |
