Banquet server advancement opportunities

Currently I work at my uncles gas station as a Manager. I make around
2200 a month. I want to switch jobs because this current job has no advancement.
Now, I was wondering if I were to work as a banquet server at a hotel making 4/hr + gratuities
Would there be room for advancement? I want to eventually work my way up to
Management of the whole hotel. Is this possible or am I over fetching?

your taking a giant leap there. remember, our economy is not so good! and it would depend on the business of the hotel's banquets facility as well as how many competitive servers you'd be working with. some properties... many actually are lessoning and lessoning gratuities pools now a days. and starting off as a banquets server with the hopes of someday managing an entire resort... is a far fetch but could be done! dream big earn big! but think about it before you jump right in. 22oo a month at a cushy gas station job isnt bad at all!
