Jazin,

This response may be too late as I see you post about a year ago. However, my suggestion would to be request an informational interview with a financial analyst at a firm or organization that employs them. Not only will you get your questions answered but you could also get your foot in the door with that company to show your interest in the field. I've known many students who have actually landed jobs using this method.

Hi, it's not easy to choose a good financial analyst in an interview, if you do not have an experience withe the job (or a guy who can consult you).

You can easily fall in a trap hiring a guy who can sell himself in an interview and pretends to be a great analyst, while in fact, he knows nothing about the job. Please, be careful!

What i would suggest you is to use some technical questions from financialanalystinterviewquestions.com . They offer answers to these questions to, so print it and see if the candidates know the right answers. Based on it, you can at least estimate their readiness for the job.

All the best,
Alison
