I have so far been unsuccessful in my search for a full or part time receptionist position.

I have noticed that I am usually the only male interviewing for these jobs.

I understand that it is most likely my lack of formal office experience, but I can't help but think that there is some sort of stigma attached to the reception position as a "girl's job", and that is not helping my search.

ur absolutely right. its a womans job and not changing anytime soon. find a new career.
