Hello, Im planning on getting a masters in special education next year. I am planning on teaching at the high school level. I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what a typical salary would be? I know it varies by grade/state but I dont know if i trust the stats that indeed is saying. If anyone from any state could offer any information I would really appreciate it. |

You can search district websites for salary scales. Each district is different. I believe Chicago is starting teachers in 48,000/year without a masters so with a masters would be a couple of thousand more. High school teachers generally make more as well. Good luck it is very competitive out there. |
